Which diving course should I choose as a beginner?

If you're new to scuba diving, you can choose between PADI Discover Scuba Diving for a first experience, PADI Scuba Diver to get started gradually, or PADI Open Water Diver to earn a full diving certification.
Dreaming of exploring the underwater world but not sure which course to choose? The best option depends on your goals and how far you'd like to take your diving adventure.

1. PADI Discover Scuba Diving: Give it a try

A Discover Scuba Diving experience is ideal for your first underwater adventure. Accompanied by a diving professional, you'll discover what it's like to breathe underwater and learn the basics of scuba diving without committing to a full course. This experience does not provide a diving certification.

2. PADI Scuba Diver: Start step by step

This certification is a first step towards becoming a certified diver. It allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres under the direct supervision of a PADI professional.

3. PADI Open Water Diver: Become a certified diver

This is the course we recommend if you plan to dive regularly. You'll develop the knowledge and skills needed to dive with a buddy, to a maximum depth of 18 metres for adult divers, within the limits of your certification and experience.

At Swiss Diving, all courses are offered as private individual training or with your own private group, allowing you to learn at your own pace.
