Why learn to scuba dive in Switzerland?
Diving in Switzerland is generally more demanding than in tropical waters. Once trained here, you'll usually feel much more comfortable when diving abroad.
Swiss lakes offer a wide variety of diving conditions, including colder water, changing visibility, underwater relief and buoyancy control with thicker exposure suits. Training in these conditions helps you develop strong diving skills and confidence. Many divers find that after learning in Switzerland, dives in destinations such as the Red Sea, the Maldives or Thailand feel easier and more relaxed. During winter, visibility is often outstanding thanks to crystal-clear water, although a dry suit is generally recommended for comfortable diving.
